Support Structures and Services
- Practicum Office
The School has collaborated with at least 250 institutions and companies of the public and private sector. The opinions of the students as recorded by the reports – evaluations of their internship are very positive. The main benefits that all interns without exception report that they obtained are the acquisition of experience and their first contact and connection with the labor market. In several cases, gyms and sports clubs have kept students as regular paid employees after their internships, while businesses have promoted students to work in camps, etc. The experience is equally positive from the business side. who accepted the students for internships. After all, this is shown both by the very positive evaluation of the performance of all the students during their internship by the companies, and by the very large increase in the number of companies currently cooperating with the School. The strengthening of the Department’s relations with the wider society of the Trikala region, through its cooperation with sports bodies of the public and private sector, is the main benefit of the School.

Student Welfare
- Academic ID
The Electronic Service for Acquiring Academic Identity started in the academic year 2011-2012 and supports multiple benefits – privileges for all members of Greek institutions of higher education (students of the three cycles of studies, permanent, visiting and contracted lecturers, administrative and technical staff), as well and the members of research institutions (research, administrative and technical staff).
For the development of the service, the computing infrastructure of EDYTE S.A. was utilized, which in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs developed the central information system for the implementation of the single academic identity in the form of a plastic or smart card.
The service helps to modernize the way academic and student welfare services are delivered, by saving public money by eliminating abusive benefits, by removing the need for annual re-issuance of student IDs and other cards.
